Resumo: Through the fluorescent antibody test, brains and salivary glands of 80 mice experimentally inoculated with the rabies virus have been analysed, 40 mice were killed in the non-symptomatic stage and the others were killed in the agonizing stage. From the brain material, 100% positiveness was obtained regarding the animals killed in both the non-symptomatic and the agonizing stage. When making use of the fluorescent antibody test for the rabies diagnosis in the salivary glandis, a positive result was obtained in 85% of the animals killed during the non-symptomatic stage and 100% of the animals killed in the agonizing stage. The results have proved the sensitivity of the fluorescent antibody test for the rabies in the salivary glands.

The results have proved the sensitivity of the fluorescent antibody test for the rabies in the salivary glands. UEL1991-03-09info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://ojs.uel.br/revistas/uel/index.php/semagrarias/article/view/467110.5433/1679-0359.1991v12n1p38Semina: Ciências Agrárias; Vol. 12 No. 1 (1991); 38-41Semina: Ciências Agrárias; v. 12 n. 1 (1991); 38-411679-03591676-546Xreponame:Semina.
