Resumo: In this article it is intend to focus on the process of democratization occurred in 1945 in Paraná, especially the genesis and early years of the Brazilian Labor Party in Paraná. Thus, efforts will be made to analyze who the members that formed the PTB party elite in this period are, the internal power struggles within the party, the motives that have catalyzed the countless hosts dissent, the PTB electoral performance in the elections on the years of 1945 and 1947 and its relationship with the government of Moysés Lupion (1947-1950).
