Resumo: This article studies the role of the priest priests in the diocese of Córdoba del Tucumán between 1778 and 1837. It is proposed to observe the definitions and functions that priests in charge of the doctrine of Indians should perform based on the study of ecclesiastical regulations and civilian analyzing its scope and observing the actions of some doctrines. We work with documents belonging to the Archive of the Archbishopric of Córdoba (AAC), particularly with appointments of priests, competitions, demands of priests and canonical visits.

Se propone observar las definiciones y funciones que debían realizar los sacerdotes a cargo de la doctrina de indios partiendo del estudio de la normativa eclesiástica y civil analizando su alcance y observando el accionar de algunos doctrineros. Trabajamos con documentos pertenecientes al Archivo del Arzobispado de Córdoba (AAC), particularmente con nombramientos de sacerdotes, concursos, demandas de curas y visitas canónicas.Este artigo estuda o papel dos sacerdotes doutrinários na diocese de Córdoba (Argentina) entre 1778 e 1837. Propõe-se observar as definições da tarefa dos doutrinários e as funções que os sacerdotes devem desempenhar no comando da doutrina dos índios. A pesquisa analisa os regulamentos eclesiásticos e civis observando seu alcance e as ações dos doutrinários.
