Novictimize for humanizing: a study about slavery in school textbooks

Resumo: This article aims to analyze the inclusion (or not) of renewal historiography on the period of slavery in the textbook A Escrita da História. It is recognized that the insertion of allowing glimpse the slave perspective, breaking with the notion of slave thing and mere victim of the system, humanizes the captive populations of African origin in Brazil and their experiences in teaching history, also questioned the strategy domination over time.
