New perspectives on the ´Documento Final´ and the political tensions concerning the "problem of the disappeared" in the final stage of the Argentine dictatorship

Resumo: | This paper studies the final stage of the last Argentine military dictatorship (1976-1983) with an emphasis on the political tensions around the "problem of the desaparecidos". In order to do so, it analyzes the set of measures proposed by the military junta to "respond" to the public and political demands on the subject and analyzes in detail the "Final Document of the Military Junta on the War Against Subversion and Terrorism" published in April 1983. The study of the tensions around its preparation and the reactions that caused shows the magnitude that this document had in the historical process: it was a key step on the undetermined road to the subsequent investigation and prosecution of the Armed Forces in the postdictatorship era. |

Para ello, se analiza el conjunto de medidas propuestas por la Junta Militar para “responder” a las demandas públicas y políticas sobre el tema y se analiza en detalle el “Documento Final de la Junta Militar sobre la guerra contra la subversión y el terrorismo” difundido en abril de 1983. El estudio de las tensiones en torno a su preparación y de las reacciones que produjo muestran la importancia que dicho documento tuvo en el proceso histórico, que condujo, de manera indeterminada, a la posterior investigación y juzgamiento de las Fuerzas Armadas en la posdictadura.Este artigo estuda o processo final da última ditadura militar argentina (1976-1983) com ênfase nas tensões políticas em torno do “problema dos desaparecidos”. Para tanto, analisa-se o conjunto de medidas propostas pela Junta Militar para "responder" às demandas públicas e políticas sobre o tema e analisa-se detalhadamente o "Documento Final da Junta Militar sobre a guerra contra a subversão e o terrorismo". em abril de 1983.
