Rubem Braga and the media superstars

Resumo: Television and pop music become, since the second half of the twentieth century, important matters in Brazilian cultural life. So it is useful to investigate how the literature of this time incorporates the languages of these cultural features. In Rubem Braga’s chronicles, the swinging movement between the media and a lyrical and poetic tone is intense. As results from this negotiation, rise out two chronicles focused on female figures with highlights in TV and pop music: Dina Sfat and Rita Lee. This essay aims to examine how the chronicler’s perspective in face of media helps to build an image of woman in contemporary Brazilian literature.

Assim, cabe investigar como a literatura deste período incorpora as linguagens das referidas manifestações culturais. Em crônicas de Rubem Braga, é intenso o trânsito entre o ambiente midiático e um tom mais lírico e poético. São produtos desta negociação duas crônicas que se concentram em figuras femininas destacadas nos meios televisivo e musical: Dina Sfat e Rita Lee.
