Notes for an Earth New Philosophy. Between Ethics and Ontology

Resumo: | In this paper we will present three philosophical approaches around the figure of the earth. In all cases, the earth is seen as a political agent that destabilizes certain conceptions of the world to project new solutions to the much-mentioned environmental crisis. The first of the proposals corresponds to Aldo Leopold whom we can consider as the founder of a "land ethic". The choice of this author responds to the intention of confronting his positions with those of two representatives of contemporary materialism: Tim Ingold and Donna Haraway. The objective will be to show the need to move from the search for an environmental ethic to a strong ontological inquiry. The latter, although it includes among its objectives the construction of an ethic, proposes as a much more essential objective a resignification of the notion of the human and a reformulation of its limits and scope. |

El primero de los planteos corresponde a Aldo Leopold a quien podemos considerar como el fundador de una “Ética de la tierra”. La elección de este autor responde a la intención de confrontar sus posturas con las de dos representantes del materialismo contemporáneo: Tim Ingold y Donna Haraway. El objetivo será mostrar la necesidad de pasar de la búsqueda por una ética ambiental a una fuerte indagación ontológica. Esta última, si bien incluye entre sus objetivos la construcción de una ética, propone como un objetivo mucho más esencial una resignificación de la noción de lo humano y una reformulación de sus límites y alcances.Neste escrito, apresentaremos três abordagens filosóficas em torno da figura da terra. Em todos os casos, a Terra é vista como um agente político que desestabiliza certas concepções de mundo para projetar novas soluções para a tão mencionada crise ambiental. A primeira das propostas corresponde a Aldo Leopold que podemos considerar o fundador de uma “Ética da Terra”. A escolha deste autor responde à intenção de confrontar suas posições com as de dois representantes do materialismo contemporâneo: Tim Ingold e Donna Haraway. O objetivo será mostrar a necessidade de passar da busca por uma ética ambiental para uma forte investigação ontológica.
