Cultural mediations of the party

Theories about the party, in anthropology, tend to think of it as an event with two main meanings: to deny or to symbolically destroy society as it is established, or to reaffirm the way in which it is organized, through confrontation, for a short period , of the chaos proposed by it. This article proposes to think of it as a phenomenon that establishes the mediation of the two senses, destroying what is considered harmful and reaffirming the values recognized as legitimate. At the same time, on a more pragmatic level, he thinks of the party as mediation between several pairs of opposition: accumulation and waste, past and present, history and myth, sacred and profane, and several others, proposing it as universal social mediation par excellence.
