This paper aims to analyze the measure adopted by themunicipality of Viçosa-MG against the COVID-19 under a legal perspective, to see if They were constitutional or not. Thus, the cataloging of decrees and daily information on confirmed cases and deaths in the city was carried out, interpreting now administrative impositions influenced the slope of the contamination curve. As the topic was still recent from this legal perspective, the research was instituted in a quantitative, qualitative and exploratory way,observing, as metioned, the numerical data and the behavior of the Public Administration and influences, such as the population and economic sectors. Thus, it was concluded, as show by graphs during the research, that the administrative police power was effective in contaning the advance of the negative effects of the pandemic in the municipality and guaranteeing the realization of right to life and health. This because, when more, more restrictive interventions are presente, the contamination average decreased or remained, while, as there where more flexible deliberations, the curve sharpened, drastically, demonstrating how the use of this power, being more intense or less intense, influenced the paths traced by the municpality.
