Resumo: This paper aims to present some links between law and public policy. It is intended to expose the definition of public policy, as located in the doctrine that deals with the subject and from this concept, consider the possibility of considering the creation of legal rules as public policy. Aims to thus check the proximity between public policies and rules arising from the legislative process. Finally , we analyze the performance of the judiciary as a body for control and implementation of public policies .

Pretende-se expor a definição de política pública, tal como localizada na doutrina que trata do tema e, a partir desta conceituação, analisar a possibilidade de considerar-se a criação das normas jurídicas como política pública. Almeja-se, assim, verificar a proximidade entre as políticas públicas e as regras oriundas do processo legislativo.
