Summary: Aiming at a proposal of interdisciplinarity and teaching organization toward genres studies, this work intends to approach teachable elements of the genres known as “press news” in (Brazilian) Portuguese and “virtual news” in English referring to the infrastructure of the text. Based on the analysis of the genres, according to the sociodiscursive interactionism (Bronckart (1999); Dolz & Schneuwly (1998), we outline units of language (of possible relevance) present in these genres, according to their functions, to teach (Brazilian) Portuguese and English. These units are illustrated by news corpora. We also intend to contribute to teacher’s work, offering possible tools to aid the application of genres in the teaching of foreign and mother languages.

A partir da descrição dos referidos gêneros, efetuada com base na teoria interacionista sócio-discursiva de Bronckart (1999) e Dolz & Schneuwly (1998), ressaltaremos as unidades lingüísticas de possível relevância, de acordo com sua função, para o ensino de língua portuguesa e língua inglesa presentes nestes gêneros. Ilustraremos essa exposição através de corpus de notícia, exemplificando, sempre que possível, cada elemento abordado.
