Resumo: This work presents a critical analyzes about the winner photography in Esso Photojournalism Prize since the first edition in 1961, showing that the concourse has a ideological pattern which values an aesthetic that automatism the interpretation’s process, putting the poetic image in a second place. However, even in a social ambient that clams the positivism ideas, like “objectivity and impartiality, some photography are able to win the prize subverting the rules of the game. These images presents it selves as a utopist resistance given us clues about how to think new manners to practice journalism, that can put the reader in a active position to face the “Spectacle Society’s” problems.
