Resumo: Photograph can provide a critic debate about the construction and change of the reality, specially as ideological instrument. On this article, were analyzed photos used to publish two places from João Pessoa (Paraíba State): the lake of Parque Solón de Lucena and the beach of Tambaú. To analyze these photos in a qualitative way – by the author view, the tourist view and the researcherpoint of view – we used iconography and visual narrative. By thestudy, we could understand how photographs with different originscan give material to an understanding about the production of images of touristic spots from the city.

No caso deste artigo, foram analisadas fotografias utilizadas para divulgar dois lugares de João Pessoa (PB): a lagoa do Parque Solón de Lucena e a Praia de Tambaú. Para analisar qualitativamente estas fotografias – pelo olhar do autor, doturista e do pesquisador – recorreu-se à iconografia e à narrativavisual.
