The stylistic variability in castrenses e londrinenses inhabitant’s speech: searching the suffix –inho

Several studies shows that the word ‘little’ used before nouns are normal within the Portuguese speakers to express in a better way informal speech. This research in Sociolinguistic has the aim to describe the use of words added in Portuguese by the suffixes – “inho”, with means ‘little’ or ‘tiny’ in English, before names, in informal speech of castrenses and londrinenses aged between 40 and 60 years old. The extralinguistics variety as sex, school and the narratives about childhood, leisure, family, pets, are more relevant than subjects about police and neighborhood. The theoretical specificity of this qualitative research pointed that the stylistic variability is within all social spots in several influence spheres. The initial hypothesis to find the suffixes – inho as expressed by the informers is correct. As a result this work shows the sociolinguistic feature that the suffices can happen in informal situations.
