Portuguese Language Subject: creation process and graphical configuration over the decades

Resumo: | This article presents reflections focused on the graphical configuration of Portuguese textbooks from the 1960s, once, from that time, it is possible to verify different changes in their characteristics, such as the usage of larger formats, generalization of color printing from the renewal of graphic machinery, employment of new typographical forms with the introduction of phototypesetting, replacement of the hardcover booklet, according to Moraes (2008). Suported by Bakhtin, in his text Remarks on the epistemology of human sciences (1974/2000, p. 402), I understand that the humanities work with understanding, pointing to the possible, because "understanding is to collate with other texts and think of a new context (in my context, in the contemporary context, in the future context)".The study arises as a possibility to meet and expand investigations focused on the mother tongue teaching and the constitution of the Portuguese language subject. |
