The media discourse on homosexuality in the military institutions

Resumo: This article deals with homosexuality under the approach and sociohistorical discourse, whose goal is to investigate which senses about homosexuality, imposed by history, are taken up by memory, at a time when the media builds and circulates in the society discourse of that subject, particularly within the military institutions. The research is grounded in the theoretical-analytical Discourse Analysis of the French, from the contributions of Pecheux (2008) and theoretical Brazilian Eni Orlandi (2008) and theoretical contributions of Foucault (2009) on the issues referring to sexuality, among others. The results show that, in fact, the meanings shown in the functioning of media discourse are those that give the "ideological interpellation military”, circumscribed by heteronormative, such as "misconduct”, "sin”, "abnormality" and "disease”.

A pesquisa se fundamenta nos pressupostos teórico-analíticos da Análise de Discurso, de linha francesa, a partir das contribuições de Pêcheux (2008) e da teórica brasileira, Eni Orlandi (2008) e dos aportes teóricos de Foucault (2009) sobre as questões referentes à sexualidade, entre outros. Observamos, nesse trabalho, em qual formação discursiva os enunciados da mídia se inscreveram para poder “dizer” sobre a homossexualidade, ou como um “desvio da norma heterossexual”, ou como uma “opção sexual” ou uma “orientação sexual”, conforme lhe confere os estudos contemporâneos a respeito do binômio sexo e gênero.
