Resumo: this project searches to clarify the values of Cognitive Linguistic, and more specifically about sociocognitive linguistic. Its theorical bases about language acquisiton are opposite to other streams according to their different fundaments. Areas, such as Biology and Antropology, which maintain strong dialog with Sociocognition are also sighted, reinforcing the idea about the value of the culture datum for the acquisition and consequent development of language, besides their importance for the human evolution.

As bases teóricas desta sobre a aquisição da linguagem são opostas às de outras correntes de acordo com seus diferentes fundamentos.
