Resumo: Objective: The authors of this article seek to identify and discuss concepts of school library network based on a review of the Brazilian scientific literature. Method: Basic and exploratory in nature, the study begins with a bibliographic search in the Reference Database of Journal Articles in Information Science (BRAPCI) and in the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD). It uses the “floating reading”, from Bardin's content analysis, to identify the most relevant documents, regarding the conceptual input used. Results: Five bibliographic sources were identified (published between 2015-2020), indicating a set of 11 citations, mostly foreign, from sources published between 1979-2017, which support concepts of network, and school library networks for Brazilian authors. Conclusions: The concept of library network is still strongly linked to technical issues, with an emphasis on optimizing financial resources. However, there is an indication of concern for the people who are part of them, whether professionals or users. The advantages of school library networks for students, teachers and other members of the school community go beyond the services they can offer and the financial savings they can provide. They bring advantages to people's lives. Based on this study, and located in Santa Catarina, the authors suggest reflecting a perspective of a library network for schools linked to Santa Catarina's public administration.
