The thematic representation of Covid-19 in cordel literature

Introduction: Thematically representing an information resource becomes a necessary condition for his recovery. Objective: Thus, it was sought to identify how are represented the cybercordel who approach Covid-19. Methodology: Based on assumptions of Information Science and Theory Lexicais Field, the study analyzed three cybercordels of the site Recanto das Letras whose titles mentioned the virus and the disease. Results: The words used in the works inform about the characteristics of this pandemic, as well as describing the procedures necessary to avoid contagion from the population. The employment of expressions that reinforce the need to follow the guidelines of the World Health Organization, were recurrent in the brochures investigated. Conclusions: Although not exhausted, the analyses carried out indicate that the approaches given to the brochures corroborate the instructions given by institutions of health, based on scientific studies. In this sense, through its thematic representation, it has become possible to highlight the cybercordel as important vehicle for the dissemination of information, in a current and appropriate manner for the understanding of the national population.
