Resumo: Objective: To analyze the resonances of the Brazilian Folklore Charter prepared by the National Folklore Commission in 1951, favoring the examination of documentary events around folk lore in Brazil. Methodology: Through a qualitative and descriptive approach, with discussion located in authors of Information Science and Anthropology, based on the ethnography of documents, we investigated the document of folklore from an ethnographic look in order to perceive the subjects and contexts that helped its production. Results: The reflections provoked questions about the Brazilian Folklore Charter as an artifact of knowledge practices and synthesis of the various informational processes undertaken by folklorists. Conclusions: By bringing information science and ethnography closer to documents, we observe how national regulations on the research and documentation of folklore have been delineated, contributing to the understanding of the meanings and associations between the fields of information, documentation and folklore.

Metodología: A través de un enfoque cualitativo y descriptivo, con discusión ubicada en autores de Ciencias de la Información y Antropología, a partir de la etnografía de documentos, investigamos el documento del folclore desde una mirada etnográfica con el fin de percibir los temas y contextos que ayudaron a su producción. Resultados: Las reflexiones provocaron interrogantes sobre la Carta del Folclore Brasileño como artefacto de las prácticas de conocimiento y síntesis de los diversos procesos informativos emprendidos por los folcloristas. Conclusiones: Al acercar la ciencia de la información y la etnografía a los documentos, observamos cómo se han delineado las regulaciones nacionales sobre la investigación y documentación del folclore, contribuyendo a la comprensión de los significados y asociaciones entre los campos de la información, la documentación y el folclore.Objetivo: Análise das ressonâncias da Carta do Folclore Brasileiro elaborada pela Comissão Nacional do Folclore em 1951, privilegiando o exame dos fazeres documentais em torno dos fatos folclóricos no Brasil. Metodologia: Através de uma abordagem qualitativa e descritiva, com discussão localizada em autores da Ciência da Informação e da Antropologia, pautada na etnografia de documentos, investiga o documento do folclore a partir de um olhar etnográfico com o intuito de perceber os sujeitos e contextos que auxiliaram sua produção. Resultados: A Carta do Folclore Brasileiro como artefato de práticas de conhecimento e síntese dos variados processos informacionais empreendidos pelos folcloristas.
