"Will not have blow" and "vem pra rua Brazil": Facebook as a mediation device and organization of social movements

Introduction: The article discusses events held between March and May 2016, when thousands of Brazilian citizens took to the streets to protest for and against the impeachment of President Dilma Rousseff. Objective: To analyze, from the pages of Facebook "will not have blow" and "Come to Brazil street", mediation, organization of social movements and discourses developed in these virtual spaces. Methodology: This is a case study. Adopted the technique of direct observation of the comments made on the network of existing connections and threads with greater influence, limiting the study to the metrics of Social Network Analysis degree of input and output degree, degree of intermediation and modularity. Netvizz used the application for data collection. To display the network, we used the software Gephi. Result: There are more users willing to replicate an information than creating a new one. The engagement on pages mainly occurred, updating information and simultaneity that were published. Conclusion: Facebook as a mediation device, facilitated the organization of movements in urban space, attracting and bringing together thousands of people, allowing the survival of such movements.
