Today's world is dynamic and changes occur in a swift way, making people adapt to that dynamic. Due to this fact, a worry with identity has appeared with modern times, world and people are in a continuous process of change, construction and e formation, where subject and environment are mutually affected by means of multiple established relationships.That being so, it is relevant to understand the way social technology contributes to the identity's construction and formation of the artisans of Vila Rural Esperança community from the insertion of this changing (social and human) technology in their environment and the incorporation of the same by them through the duration of the Seda Justa Project. This research becomes relevant as it deals with current themes such as social technology and identity, whose interconnections still haven't being studied, guaranteeing the originality of this study. As so, the proposed theme rouses a interdisciplinary dialogue capable of providing a better understanding on the the subject, that being, personal identity. It is known that any type of enterprise/organization change and form imprints meaningful marks on professional and personal relationships, on the work itself, a fact that deserves a profound study. Identity is always affected by the cultural significant and varies according to the situations being lived and the life history of the subjects. Based on this premise, the life history method was chosen for data retrieval and hermeneutics as a base of interpretation. This way, this research allowed, by means of the accounts and memories of the research participants the externalization of their experiences and feelings: what they value, think and feel, revealing by this the process of construction their identities and their forming elements.
