The importance of history of education for the training of educational personnel

Resumo: | Present the need of knowledge of the History of Education for future and current teachers is the goal of this article. More than the act of taking contact with education in your doing here, we call history so that the professional education becomes in researcher in History of Education. To that end, it presents asummary of the changes in the specific field of the craft of the historian of educational issues, showing which is the current state of the art as regards more specifically the contact with the past. After an initial period in the history of education subsumidy to philosophy of education was, in the final years of the 20th century and these first of the current century there is a whole theoretical discussion that wants to legitimize this field as specific and different from other education-related. In this sense, the usages and instruments that the historian must have at their disposal, such as the definition of periodization to be searched, the type, the choice and the treatment of sources (historical documents) that reveal the lives of social actors that if you want to search, and how the relationship between past and present, are presented as theoretical and practical requirements for the constitution of an authentic History of Education |

Mais do que o ato de tomar contato com a educação em seu fazer histórico, fazemos aqui o convite para que o profissional da educação se torne em pesquisador em História da Educação. Para tanto, apresenta-se uma síntese das mudanças ocorridas no campo específico do ofício do historiador das questões educacionais, mostrando qual é o atual estado da arte no que diz respeito à forma mais específica do contato com o passado. Após um período inicial em que a História da Educação esteve subsumida à Filosofia da Educação, nos últimos anos do século XX e nestes primeiros da atual centúria há toda uma discussão teórica que quer legitimar este campo como específico e diferente dos outros relacionados à educação.
