Views of the relationship between culture and quality in Venezuelan Education/ Physical Education: theoretical incursions and contributions from university researchers

Resumo: This text presents dimensions of culture and quality in Venezuelan Education / Physical Education through theoretical incursions and contribution of researchers from Higher Education Institutions. The analysis is complemented with education policy documents, recourse to the literature and information through the form of completed online questionnaires. Based on the data, it was verified that: a) the theme of culture in the production of knowledge in physical education in Venezuela is still incipient; b) the culture is present in the school, although it is little evidenced in the physical education, being generally associated with traditions and customs; c) it is not common the thematization of physical education along terms as physical culture, body culture and movement culture; d) the theoretical framework have the sporty content with influences of psychomotricity and sociomotricity; e) the quality of physical education is compromised, among other aspects, by the fact that the State sees this subject as complementary to the lack of institutional sports.

Consta de esa colecta documentos educativos, referenciales teóricos e informaciones obtenidas por medio de un cuestionario en línea. Con base en los datos encontrados, se examinó que a) el tema de la cultura en la producción de conocimiento en educación física en Venezuela todavía es incipiente; b) la cultura está presente en la escuela, aunque poco evidenciada en la educación física, generalmente asociada a tradiciones y costumbres; c) no es común la tematización de la educación física junto a términos como cultura física, cultura corporal y cultura de movimiento; d) el marco teórico existente se reviste de contenido deportivo, con influencias de la psicomotricidad y la sociomotricidad; e) la calidad de la educación física está comprometida, en especial, por el hecho de que el Estado visualiza como complementario a las carencias de los deportes institucionales.Este texto apresenta dimensões da cultura e da qualidade na educação/educação física venezuelana por meio de incursões teóricas e aporte de professores-pesquisadores ligados a instituições de ensino superior. Constam dessa coleta documentos educacionais, referenciais teóricos e informações obtidas por meio de questionário online.
