Organicity, institutionality and symbolic dimension of the Federal Institute of Paraná State: an analysis from Pierre Bourdieu's perspective

Resumo: | This article aims to analyze the creation of Federal Institutes of Education, Science and Technology, which inaugurated a new phase in the provision of education by institutions of Professional and Technological Education in Brazil, as established in law n. 11,892, of December 29, 2008, which creates the Federal Network of Professional, Scientific and Technological Education. Methodologically, the article is based on the theory of social fields of Pierre Bourdieu, especially from the concepts of social field, habitus, social capital, cultural capital and scientific capital. Thus, based on documents, legislation and support in the literature on the subject, it is noted that there is a gap between the predicted in the creation project and in the legislation on the Federal Institutes, of social inclusion and democratization of public education, and the concrete teaching performance marked by the overestimation and overvaluation of the academic profile something common in the traditional university careers, but that installs like an ‘academicism’ in the Federal Institutes of Education, Science and Technology. |

A modo epistemológico, el artículo se basa en la teoría de los campos sociales de Pierre Bourdieu, con hincapié en los conceptos de campo social, habitus, capital social, capital cultural y capital científico. De esta forma, apoyándose en documentos, leyes, y soporte en la literatura acerca del argumento, se percibe que existe un hueco entre el previsto en el proyecto de creación, la legislación de los Institutos Federales, de inclusión social y democratización de la enseñanza pública, y la concreta actuación docente, la que está basada en la sobrestimación y sobrevaloración del perfil académico común en las universidades tradicionales.Este artigo tem por objetivo analisar a criação de Institutos Federais de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia, que inaugurou uma nova fase na oferta de educação por instituições de Educação Profissional e Tecnológica no Brasil, a partir do estabelecido na lei de criação 11.892, de 29 de dezembro de 2008, que institui a Rede Federal de Educação Profissional, Científica e Tecnológica, e cria os Institutos Federais de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia. Metodologicamente, o artigo fundamenta-se na teoria dos campos sociais de Pierre Bourdieu, especialmente a partir dos conceitos de campo social, habitus, capital social, capital cultural e capital científico.
