Commonplace and inversion in Greek lyric poetry

Resumo: In this article we translate and analyse ten erotic poems extracted from Five Book of Greek Anthology. These poems show three topics or commonplaces – the threat prophecy, the gloading over fulfillment and the compliment of old women – and in our analyses we focus on relationship between them and the innovation processes in Greek lyric poetry.
