Self-organization as an agent of the creative process and laboratory of musical meaning

Resumo: The article presents a reflection on my academic practice working in the dialogue between music and science, which is described here as a fruitful field for creativity and self-organization. Starting upon Boden’s notions of creativity (Boden, 2009; 2004; Boden & Theobald, 1999) and Gibson's (1966) Ecological Perception theory, the text discusses the creative process in the interaction with the subject, whether as author or spectator. The discussion presented here is anchored in a viewpoint where creativity is seen inserted in a force field that acts on the subject. Subjects, to a greater or lesser degree, are sensitized and develop the ability to understand their dialogue with this force field which they often initiate, but do not fully conducting. The article is also built step by step with descriptions of compositions, in which I explored several of the theoretical issues discussed here.

A partir das noções de criatividade de Boden (Boden, 2009; 2004; Boden & Theobald, 1999) e da teoria da Percepção Ecológica de Gibson (1966), o texto discute o processo criativo  na interação com o sujeito, seja ele autor ou espectador. Essa discussão é ancorada ao ponto de vista no qual a criatividade é inserida num campo de força que age sobre o sujeito. Os sujeitos em maior ou menor grau são sensibilizados e desenvolvem a capacidade de entender como dialogam com esse campo de força que eles iniciam, muitas vezes, mas não dirigem totalmente.
