Resumo: | The feminism, civil, political and social movement had its first rumours in England during the Victorian Age (1837-1901). From that time it expanded around the world until nowadays struggling to conquer equality, in the difference, between women and men. In literature, the movement gave opportunity for the appearance of the feminist literary criticism, which investigates how the woman is represented literarily, with the aim of questioning the patriarchal standards and identifying the building of characters conscious or not of their condition as women and mainly as human beings. This article proposes a feminist criticism of the short story “Colheita” (1973) (Harvest), by the Brazilian writer Nélida Piñon, analyzing how the central female character becomes a conscious and independent female subject, by reflecting and reacting against the patriarchal society and her husband in a tone close to the platonic philosophy. |

Universidade Estadual De Maringá2008-06-19info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttp://www.periodicos.uem.br/ojs/index.php/ActaSciHumanSocSci/article/view/14210.4025/actascihumansoc.v29i1.142Acta Scientiarum.
