Resumo: The Amazon has in its interior projected systems promoted by the physical and anthropic environment. Physically, there is the extensive hydrographic basin, which perhaps determines the existence of thousands of species of fish, of trees; finally, the basin is an engine that moves the system and makes the connections, in which the rivers are responsible for the interactions throughout the territory. Already in the anthropic, peoples for millennia left their possible fingerprints throughout the Amazonian environment. This article intends to demonstrate that landscapes are natural and cultural monuments erected by ancestral and contemporary peoples, which are regulated by the seasonality of the Amazon-Solimões and Negro river. The objective was to characterize the importance of landscapes for the balance of the environment. The methodological path that was traced was to survey the literature that discusses the role of landscapes; and, with the field part, it was possible to perceive four possible morphologies of the landscapes – each with its particularities, whose regulator is seasonality. The conclusion is that the experiments that occur seasonally by fishermen and family farmers are important studies for the maintenance and preservation of the environment on Terra Nova Island, in Careiro da Várzea, in Amazonas.

The conclusion is that the experiments that occur seasonally by fishermen and family farmers are important studies for the maintenance and preservation of the environment on Terra Nova Island, in Careiro da Várzea, in Amazonas. Universidade Estadual De Maringá2023-11-14info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.uem.br/ojs/index.php/ActaSciHumanSocSci/article/view/6900110.4025/actascihumansoc.v45i2.69001Acta Scientiarum.
