Resumo: This research aims to carry out an investigation that explains the theoretical models used in epidemiology, understanding the clinic model and the effects of its global application. Also, it intends to show evidences for the construction of a new method, using the Marxist methodology to propose ways to conduct the interpretation of epidemiological research. It reports the methodology inserted in Marxist reference, the investigation methods used in health research, specially Jaime Breilh’s approach (doctor and researcher). Then, it proposes a new interpretation of results in epidemiology, based on authors who use the dialectic method in their reference books. For result, it’s necessary to adopt a methodology that uses the historical and social process to change the health-sickness analysis and contribute to social conscience. Besides, it’s important to include all the society excluded people in the struggle for health

Besides, it’s important to include all the society excluded people in the struggle for healthA presente pesquisa tem como objetivos realizar uma investigação que explicite os pressupostos teóricos utilizados em epidemiologia, compreender o modelo clínico e os efeitos de sua aplicação hegemônica e levantar indícios para a construção de um novo método, utilizando a abordagem marxista para propor medidas que redirecionem a interpretação da pesquisa epidemiológica. A pesquisa de revisão bibliográfica discorre sobre a metodologia presente na obra marxiana, comenta os métodos de investigação utilizados em saúde, especialmente a abordagem de Jaime Breilh (médico e pesquisador) e apresenta propostas para a reinterpretação dos resultados encontrados em epidemiologia, baseada em autores que utilizam o método dialético como fundamento para suas obras.
