Resumo: The work’s aim was to evaluate the effects of some pesticides on Trichogramma pretiosum Riley, using the adapted IOBC standard methodology. A fully randomized experimental design, with ten treatments and four replicates, was utilized. The experimental plot was a cage with parasitoids exposed to fresh and dry pesticides residues. The following compounds were evaluated: (g a.i. L-1 water): lufenuron (0.04), triflumuron (0.15), imidacloprid (0.28), cyromazine (0.11), pirimicarb (0.25), methoxifenozide (0.12), abamectin (0.018), acephate (0.75) and esfenvalerate (0.019). Distillated water was used as control. The capacity of parasitism, percentage of emergence and the sex ratio of T. pretiosum were evaluated. All pesticides, except cyromazine, affected the parasitic capacity of this parasitoid. Abamectin, acephate and esfenvalerate were the most harmful compounds to T. pretiosum, affecting their emergence capacity and sex ratio. The adapted IOBC standard technique proved to be viable for selectivity studies of pesticides with the parasitoid T. pretiosum
