Resumo: The experiment was carried out at Esalq/USP, Piracicaba/SP. The objective of this work was to study the effects of elevated CO2 concentrations and water volume on pepper crops, Capsicum annum L. (Solanaceae), planted in pots inside plastic greenhouse. Four levels of CO2 (367, 600, 800 and 1000µmol mol-1) were applied daily through micro tubes installed at 3m high. A drip irrigation system, having one drip by plant, was used to irrigate them every other day and four water volumes (30,89L, 40,7L, 61,86L and 82,83L) with four replications were used. The fruit dry matter, root dry matter, shoot dry matter and total dry matter were analyzed. Increase of water volume and CO2 concentration the dry matter production was high. Root dry matter reduced in the environment enriched with 1000mol mol-1 for all water volume applied

(Solanaceae), cultivadas em vasos, em ambiente protegido. Adotou-se quatro concentrações de CO2 (367, 600, 800 e 1000µmol mol-1) aplicado diariamente, através de microtubos instalados a 3m de altura. A irrigação foi por gotejamento com um gotejador por planta, com freqüência de dois dias e aplicou-se quatro volumes de água definidos pela evapotranspiração (30,89L, 40,7L, 61,86L e 82,83L), com quatro repetições. A matéria seca dos frutos, raiz, parte aérea e total da planta foi determinada após secagem em estufa ventilada, a 65oC.
