Resumo: | The Diagnosis and Recommendation Integrated System (DRIS) is an interpretation methodology of leaf analysis results. The aim of this work was to determine the zinc sufficiency level in the soil and in the leaves of the banana tree ‘Prata Anã’ through the DRIS method. The experimental design was randomized blocks, with four treatments (0, 10, 20, and 40 kg of zinc ha-1 year-1) and three replications of the treatments for three blocks. Zinc was applied as zinc sulphate. The fruit yields as well as leaf contents of macro and micronutrients and soil Zn contents extracted by Mehlich 1 and DTPA (pH 7.3) were all evaluated for correlation purposes. The DRIS was reliable for evaluating the crop response to Zn application in the soil. The yield of ‘Prata Anã’ banana of 22.7 t ha-1 reached the best nutritional balance with a soil application of 7.0 kg Zn ha-1 year-1. The optimal Zn content in the soil associated with the best nutritional balance of ‘Prata Anã’ banana was of 16.7 mg dm-3 for Mehlich 1 and 5.7 mg dm-3 for DTPA. For the foliar content, the optimal Zn content in the leaf was 14.4 mg kg-1. |
