Resumo: | The aim objective of this study was to isolate plasmids of Rhizoctonia solani and binucleate Rhizoctonia spp. and verify their presence with pathogenicity. Isolates of Rhizoctonia solani AG 4 HGI from bean and hypovirulent isolates of binucleate Rhizoctonia spp. obtained from bean plant and peanut fields in São Paulo State, Brazil, were analyzed as to presence of plasmid DNA; and the association between plasmids and pathogenicity was evaluated. Only the isolate FJ-39.10 of R. solani contained a 2.6 kb plasmid DNA. It was not possible to establish correlation between the presence of plasmid and the virulence or hypovirulence of isolates |

Isolados de Rhizoctonia solani AG 4 HGI, obtidos de feijoeiro, e isolados hipovirulentos de Rhizoctonia spp. binucleada, obtidos de feijoeiro e de amendoinzeiro, coletados em diversas regiões produtoras do Estado de São Paulo foram analisados quanto à presença de DNA plasmidial. Foi constatado DNA plasmidial no isolado FJ-39.10, obtido de Rhizoctonia solani em feijoeiro, com tamanho de 2,6 kb.
