Resumo: The purpose of this work was to evaluate the energetic demand requested by a seeder-drill varying the number of sowing lines. The experiment was carried out in the Experimental Nucleus of Agricultural Engineering, of Unioeste, Campus of Cascavel, state of Paraná, in Red Latosoil Haplortox. A randomized block design was used in five treatments and four repetitions. The following treatments were used: seeder equipped with one, two, three, four and five sowing lines, which were moved in an average speed of 5.5 km h-1. The wheeled motive skating parameters, furrow depth, fuel consumption, average traction force, traction force for depth, maximum traction force, medium potency and maximum potency were evaluated. With the increase of the number of sowing lines of one to five, the average traction force in the bar increased from 3.72 to 8.62 kN. In other words, there was an increment of 131.9%. The maximum traction force in the bar was 41.41% higher than the obtained average traction force. The fuel consumption was not influenced by the number of used lines.

O experimento foi conduzido no Núcleo Experimental de Engenharia Agrícola, pertencente à Unioeste – Câmpus de Cascavel, Estado do Paraná, em um Latossolo Vermelho distroférico. Utilizou-se o delineamento experimental de blocos ao acaso composto por cinco tratamentos e quatro repetições. Foram utilizados os seguintes tratamentos: semeadora equipada com uma, duas, três, quatro e cinco linhas de semeadura, deslocadas a uma velocidade média de 5,5 km h-1. Avaliaram-se os parâmetros da patinagem do rodado motriz, da profundidade do sulco, do consumo de combustível, da força de tração média, da força de tração por profundidade, da força de tração máxima, da potência média e da potência máxima. Com o aumento do número de linhas de semeadura de uma para cinco, a força de tração média na barra aumentou de 3,72 kN para 8,62 kN, ou seja, houve um acréscimo de 131,9%. A força de tração máxima na barra foi 41,41% superior à força de tração média obtida.
