A hybrid genetic algorithm for two-dimensional industrial cutting

Resumo: The implementation of an algorithm to solve the two-dimensional cutting problem is provided. A good and fast solution for this problem has to be found and the use of rectangular shapes must be optimized to reduce the wasted area made by cuts about the rectangular shapes. Genetic Algorithms were used as an optimization technique and the Bottom-Left method was employed to put the objects in the rectangular shape. The system was checked for results, which were at least 10% over the optimum solution.

Para a sua implementação, foram utilizados Algoritmos Genéticos como uma técnica de otimização, e o Bottom-Left como uma técnica de encaixe das peças na chapa retangular.
