Resumo: The purpose of this study is to analyze rainfall in some Brazilian Northeastern states and associate it with their physical features. Data were taken from NAEP (National Agency for Electric Power) - Brasília, covering 42 stations and the following periods: 1936-1982 (Alagoas), 1936-1983 (Pernambuco) and 1949-1983 (Sergipe). Several multivariate analysis methods were applied and a specific software for statistic program was used to classify the series.

Several multivariate analysis methods were applied and a specific software for statistic program was used to classify the series.Com o objetivo de se fazer uma análise pluviométrica dos Estados de Alagoas, Pernambuco e Sergipe, situados na região Nordeste do Brasil, e correlacioná-lo com seus atributos físicos, foram utilizados dados provenientes da Aneel (Agência Nacional de Energia Elétrica) - Brasília. Utilizaram-se dados de pluviosidade mensais de um conjunto de 42 estações distribuídas nos períodos de 1936 a 1982 para Alagoas, 1936 a 1983 para Pernambuco e de 1949 a 1983 para Sergipe. Através de programas específicos como Homogene.
