Resumo: The aim of this experiment was to detect genus and species of ruminal ciliates in 4 Nelore bovines e 4 Mediterranean buffaloes, canulated and with 530 kg of average weight. The feeding was composed of coast-cross grass hay (65%) and concentrated meal (20% corn meal and 15% cotton meal), and mineral salt, making a diet with 9.9% PB, 88.8% MS and 2.4 Mcal/kg ED, that was given at 8 am and 4 pm.
