Resumo: | The objectives of this experiment were to determine dry matter (DM) and crude protein (CP) in situ degradability and degradation rate for different parts of corn plant preserved as silage, as following: whole plant silage, high moisture grain, and ears. The analysis of the equation parameters for dry matter degradation showed that high moisture grain silage has higher soluble fraction as compared with ears silage and whole plant silage. In relation to the potentially soluble fraction there was a difference between the whole plant silage and ears silage and high moisture grain silage, with higher value for high moisture grain silage. High moisture grain silage and ears silage showed high effective DM and CP degradability maybe due to the cutting stage of the crop whose starch was stile highly susceptible to degradation and due to silage fermentation. |
