Resumo: Aiming to evaluate of the cost variation and revenue of milk production, twenty Saanen goats (59.59 kg ±6.97 kg de PV) were used in 152 days of lactation. The animals were confined in individual stalls, with daily control of feeding and milk production. The treatments consisted of the roughage ration: concentrate of 40:60, 50:50, 60:40, 70:30 and 80:20. It was observed that the average revenue achieved with the sale of produced milk were: 2.98, 2.73, 2.15, 2.28 and 1.65 R$/animal/day, respectively. Average expenses with consumption of rations were: 1.20, 1.00, 0.97, 0.91 and 0.68 R$/animal/day, respectively; and the average return with the margin on the cost of the ration (MCR) were: 1.78, 1.73, 1.17, 1.37 and 0.97 R$/animal/day, respectively.
