Resumo: | 20 Saanen goats, 10 first-lactation (P1) and 10 of posterior lactations were examined for a period of 150 d ays lactation. There were two daily milking and a daily milk control. In order to evaluate the chemical composition and somatic cell counts, samples were collected biweekly. Net protein requirements were based on milk production and protein composition of milk, and net energy requirements were based on milk production and fat, protein and lactose composition. The lactation peak was later for P1 goats and persistence of lactation was higher for the posterior lactation ones. Lactation order influenced milk nu trient concentrations, while P1 goats presented greater percentages of this parameter in comparison to the others. The protein percentage remained unchanged. Net protein and energy requirements were different for goats in different orders of lactation. |

Net protein and energy requirements were different for goats in different orders of lactation.Foram utilizadas 20 cabras da raça Saanen, 10 de primeira lactação (P1) e 10 de lactações posteriores, por um período de lactação de 150 dias. Foram feitas duas ordenhas diárias e o controle leiteiro foi realizado diariamente. Para avaliação da composição e contagem de células somáticas, foram realizadas colheitas quinzenalmente. As exigências líquidas em proteína basearam -se na produção e na composição em proteína do leite e as exigências líquidas em energia basearam -se na produção e na composição em gordura, proteína e lactose. O pico de lactação foi mais tardio para as cabras P1 e a persistência da lactação foi maior para as de lactações posteriores. A ordem de lactação influenciou as concentrações de nutrientes no leite, sendo que cabras P1 apresentaram maiores porcentagens destes em relação às demais, exceção feita à porcentagem de proteína que permaneceu inalterada.
