Resumo: | The objective of the study was to verify the families of parasitoids collected in wood and pasture areas in Itumbiara, State of Goiás, Brazil, using yellow buckets of water from January to December 1998. These traps were made of yellow buckets measuring about 30 cm diameter, 12 cm high and filled with 2 litters of trap water, 2 ml of detergent and 2 ml of formaldehyde. Weekly collections were done using 10 yellow water traps, 5 placed at the pastures and 5 in the nearby native vegetation. The majority of families of parasitoids were collected in the pasture. |

The majority of families of parasitoids were collected in the pasture.O objetivo deste estudo foi verificar as famílias de parasitóides coletadas em área de mata nativa e pastagens em Itumbiara, Estado de Goiás. O material foi coletado usando-se bacias amarelas contendo água, no período de janeiro a dezembro de 1998. Foram realizadas coletas semanais com 10 bacias, colocadas ao nível do solo; cinco bacias foram colocadas na pastagem e cinco na mata. Essas armadilhas constavam de bacias plásticas amarelas de aproximadamente 30 cm de diâmetro e 12 cm de altura, nas quais depositou-se uma mistura de 2 litros de água, 2 ml de detergente e 2 ml de formol. As famílias mais abundantes foram: Ichneumonidae, com 16,4%, e Diapriidae, com 14,6% dos indivíduos coletados.
