Resumo: The objective of the study was to verify the families of parasitoids collected in wood and pasture areas in Itumbiara, State of Goiás, Brazil, using yellow buckets of water from January to December 1998. These traps were made of yellow buckets measuring about 30 cm diameter, 12 cm high and filled with 2 litters of trap water, 2 ml of detergent and 2 ml of formaldehyde. Weekly collections were done using 10 yellow water traps, 5 placed at the pastures and 5 in the nearby native vegetation. The majority of families of parasitoids were collected in the pasture.
