Resumo: The aim of the present study was to analyze the benefits of resistance and aerobic training during and after-treatment in patients with cancer. To this review, periodicals from PubMed, MEDILINE, SciELO and LILACS database were used. From the scientific evidence presented in the selected studies, it can be detached that exercise improves functional capacity, body composition, activity of natural killer cells (NK), humor state and life quality in individuals with cancer. It is possible to conclude that the combination of resistance and aerobic training elicit benefits for patients with cancer during and after treatment, being well tolerated.

Department of Physical Education - State University of Maringá (UEM), Maringá-PR, Brazil2012-01-04info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionLiterature reviewRevisão de Literaturaapplication/pdfimage/jpegapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.uem.br/ojs/index.php/RevEducFis/article/view/11670Journal of Physical Education; Vol 22 No 4 (2011); 651-658Journal of Physical Education; Vol. 22 Núm. 4 (2011); 651-658Journal of Physical Education; v. 22 n. 4 (2011); 651-6582448-2455reponame:Journal of Physical Education (Maringá)instname:Universidade Estadual de Maringá (UEM)instacron:UEMporenghttps://periodicos.uem.br/ojs/index.php/RevEducFis/article/view/11670/8663https://periodicos.uem.br/ojs/index.php/RevEducFis/article/view/11670/751375141129https://periodicos.uem.br/ojs/index.php/RevEducFis/article/view/11670/751375149910Nascimento, Elaine Batista doLeite, Richard DiegoPrestes, Jonatoinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2023-01-10T15:38:06Zoai:periodicos.uem.br/ojs:article/11670Revistahttp://periodicos.uem.br/ojs/index.php/RevEducFis/indexPUBhttps://old.scielo.br/oai/scielo-oai.php||revdef@uem.br2448-24552448-2455opendoar:2023-01-10T15:38:06Journal of Physical Education (Maringá) - Universidade Estadual de Maringá (UEM)false
