Resumo: The aim of this work is to propose the body warming as one of the basic contents to be taught in Physical Education classes when concerning Gymnastics. Based on qualitative approaches, we analyzed texts and contexts which involve the theoretical productions in the area of Physical Education and Health. We concluded that the issue warming is studied by different professional areas, and there are controversies when it comes to types, objectives and purposes. We consider, therefore, the process of texts construction focused on suggesting contents for the teaching of gymnastics may contribute to the organization of knowledge in the area. This may also propose reformulations in the field of pedagogical intervention and methodological innovation in Physical Education classes.

This may also propose reformulations in the field of pedagogical intervention and methodological innovation in Physical Education classes.O presente estudo está compromissado com a educação e com a organização do conhecimento em Ginástica no currículo escolar e teve como objetivo propor o aquecimento corporal como assunto a ser ensinado nas aulas de Educação Física, quando esta tratar do conteúdo Ginástica. Para consolidar as discussões, o desenvolvimento do estudo se vinculou às abordagens qualitativas e levantou conhecimento a partir da revisão literária das mais variadas fontes e documentos, analisando os discursos dos textos e dos contextos contidos nas produções teóricas da Educação Física. Concluiu-se que o tema aquecimento corporal é estudado por diferentes áreas profissionais, havendo controvérsias no que diz respeito aos seus tipos, objetivos e finalidades.
