Resumo: The objective of this study was to evaluate changes in existing motor development of infants from parents and guidance to carers or in a program of interventional therapy in the family context.Twenty two babies have participated, divided into two groups: Intervention Group (GI) and Control Group (GC). Both groups were evaluated at the beginning and at the end of eight weeks. The GI mothers received instructions from a physical therapy program for babies and context changing guidelines at every week. The references used in this study were: scale Alberta and the AHEMD-SR questionnaire. For statistical analysis it was used the nonparametric tests of Wilcoxon, Mann-Whitney, Mcnemar and the Correlation of Spearman. It was observed a significant motor development in GI group comparing pre and post intervention (p=0,029). The results suggest that babies stimulated correcty in the home environment develop a higher quality in motor learning.

Department of Physical Education - State University of Maringá (UEM), Maringá-PR, Brazil2012-04-01info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionExperimental ResearchExperimental, Prospectiva, longitudinalapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.uem.br/ojs/index.php/RevEducFis/article/view/11551Journal of Physical Education; Vol 23 No 1 (2012); 25-35Journal of Physical Education; Vol. 23 Núm. 1 (2012); 25-35Journal of Physical Education; v. 23 n. 1 (2012); 25-352448-2455reponame:Journal of Physical Education (Maringá)instname:Universidade Estadual de Maringá (UEM)instacron:UEMporhttps://periodicos.uem.br/ojs/index.php/RevEducFis/article/view/11551/9327Oliveira, Sheila Maria Silva deAlmeida, Carla Skilhan deValentini, Nádia Cristinainfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2023-01-10T15:38:05Zoai:periodicos.uem.br/ojs:article/11551Revistahttp://periodicos.uem.br/ojs/index.php/RevEducFis/indexPUBhttps://old.scielo.br/oai/scielo-oai.php||revdef@uem.br2448-24552448-2455opendoar:2023-01-10T15:38:05Journal of Physical Education (Maringá) - Universidade Estadual de Maringá (UEM)false
