Resumo: The aging process and associated factors are characterized by a decline at functional capacity. The aim of the study was to verify the effect of dance practice at functional capacity of women with 50 years and over. Participated 21 women, 61±7.12 years old, engaged on dance modality offered by the Physical Activity Program for Elderly from -UNESP – Rio Claro. The intervention took 4 months and the functional capacity was evaluated by means of the battery of motor tests of the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. Department of Physical Education - State University of Maringá (UEM), Maringá-PR, Brazil2008-10-22info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.uem.br/ojs/index.php/RevEducFis/article/view/5550Journal of Physical Education; Vol 19 No 2 (2008); 205-214Journal of Physical Education; Vol. 19 Núm. 2 (2008); 205-214Journal of Physical Education; v. 19 n. 2 (2008); 205-2142448-2455reponame:Journal of Physical Education (Maringá)instname:Universidade Estadual de Maringá (UEM)instacron:UEMporhttps://periodicos.uem.br/ojs/index.php/RevEducFis/article/view/5550/3527Sebastião, ÉmersonHamanaka, Ágata Yoko YasueGobbi, Lilian Lilian Teresa BuckenGobbi, Sebastiãoinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2023-01-10T15:37:38Zoai:periodicos.uem.br/ojs:article/5550Revistahttp://periodicos.uem.br/ojs/index.php/RevEducFis/indexPUBhttps://old.scielo.br/oai/scielo-oai.php||revdef@uem.br2448-24552448-2455opendoar:2023-01-10T15:37:38Journal of Physical Education (Maringá) - Universidade Estadual de Maringá (UEM)false
