Resumo: This article aims to give visibility to the trajectory of journalist Nascimento Moraes, geography professor at the Liceu Maranhense and teacher at the Escola Normal. This professor, despite having published only four books, participated in the foundation of most of the newspapers from Maranhão in the first half of the 20th century, leaving a vast production in more than half a century as a journalist.

Este profesor, aunque publicó sólo cuatro libros, participó en la fundación de la mayoría de los periódicos de Maranhão en la primera mitad del siglo XX, dejando una vasta producción en más de medio siglo como periodista.: O presente artigo visa dar visibilidade à trajetória do professor e jornalista Nascimento Moraes, catedrático de geografia do Liceu Maranhense e docente da Escola Normal.
