Education in times of pandemic: a bibliometric analysis of the scientific production on the subject: uma análise bibliométrica da produção científica sobre o tema

The research aimed to conduct a bibliometric analysis of the scientific production on Education and COVID-19 in the Web of Science database. The sample was composed of 1,664 articles, published in 329 sources from 2019 to 2021. In addition to the quantitative analysis in RStudio software, a content analysis was applied, considering the most cited articles in the period. The results offer information about the evolution of research in the area, enabling the recognition of possible gaps, pointing out impacts, most recurrent themes, and strategies implemented to maintain the teaching and learning processes during the pandemic period. The work may have implications for educational researchers, teachers in initial and in-service training, and public policymakers.
