The discourse of women from the periphery: between what is said and what is not said

This article aims to present an excerpt from the study carried out for postdoctoral research in Letters at the State University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UEMS), with the theme 'The discursive position of women from the periphery: the protagonism of workers and owners from home and representativeness in politics'. The intention of the research is to study the discursive position adopted by simple women, ordinary workers from the outskirts of Campo Grande-MS, highlighting their thoughts, their posture adopted in the community and their strategies to overcome the historically constructed image that a woman's place is not in society. leadership. As a guiding question we have: How does a simple woman, who lives on the periphery, face the prejudice and obstacles that society imposes on her? With the study, we intend to identify the discursive strategies chosen by the women and verify in the speeches how language and identity are articulated in the construction of the identity of the female community leader. As a result of this study, we prepared this text that raises a question about what is said and what is not said, based on some answers presented by the interviewees in the research in question.
