Resumo: O foco da presente pesquisa estudou a tripla dimensão da evolução histórica do comércio mundial: a proposta GATT/OMC (Free Trade), a União Europeia e o Comércio Justo. Tratam-se de três grandes sistemas. Enquanto o prometido livre comércio não trouxe a prolatada igualdade de tratamento no âmbito do GATT/OMC e da União Europeia (UE), de forma distinta emergiu o Comércio Justo, regido por valores éticos, visando à inclusão social. O método de pesquisa utilizado foi o crítico indutivo. Quanto aos fins, a pesquisa foi de cunho descritivo e os resultados foram expostos em forma de textos.
